Community Futures East Kootenay (CFEK) is inviting engaged and entrepreneurial-minded individuals
to join our leadership team as a volunteer on our Board of Directors.

In order to continue to have balanced representation across our service area, preference will currently be given to residents of:

  • Golden,
  • Columbia Valley, and
  • Cranbrook

The Board of Directors meets monthly, except July & August, to review the business of the organization, including financial oversight, governance and policy.  Directors always have the option of travelling to Cranbrook or participating by video-conference.  Directors are also expected to occasionally participate in the adjudication of small-business loan applications.  Travel costs for Directors to attend meetings and events are reimbursed by CFEK.

Community Futures organizations across Canada are committed to Community Economic Development and to supporting our local businesses and entrepreneurs by providing access to capital, training and advisory services.
