Business Resource Library
CFEK’s
business resource library offers a wide variety of self-help
books, video and audio tapes, periodicals, and government
service guides. These resources are available to the general
public and library membership is free!
Community Access Program (CAP)
Access the
Internet or work on your business plan by using our high speed
Internet connection and business productivity software. There
is a small fee of $1.00 per hour. CAP services are also
delivered by the Cranbrook Public Library, the Cranbrook Academy
of Learning, and the Kimberley Skills Center.
Regional Access and Community Help (REACH)
Offers
entrepreneurs access to demographic information and marketing
strategies, plus much more. This on-line subscription service
was developed by the BC government and is federally funded by
Western Economic Diversification.
One Stop Business Registration (OSBR)
Fast, easy
and convenient business registration service that allows you to
complete up to nine government forms with one entry. One stop
allows you to:

Register with the Canada
Revenue Agency for GST, payroll deductions, corporate income
tax and import / export accounts;

Register a proprietorship
or a partnership;
-
Register as a vendor for
the provincial sales tax;
-
Register as an employer
with the Workers' Compensation Board (WCB),; and,

Apply for a Business
License with participating municipalities
